We are currently seeking a Telecommunications Technician to join our team and work closely with our customers to install, maintain, upgrade and troubleshoot complex communication systems. A successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of all existing telecommunications systems as well as an advanced understanding of the latest technical innovations in this field. This position is entry-level, but will provide a great foundation for the career development of the right person.
Responsibilities
- Install and maintain coaxial cabling systems for telecommunication services.
- Utilize hand tools and equipment to ensure proper installation and repair of network components.
- Conduct field service visits to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues.
- Perform network installations and configurations, including Ethernet and telephony systems.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion and adherence to safety standards.
- Document service activities and maintain accurate records of installations and repairs.
Qualifications
- Proficient in computer networking and telecommunication systems
- Experience as a service technician in the field
- Skilled in using hand tools and low voltage equipment
- Knowledge of Ethernet and telephony cabling
- Familiarity with fiber splicing and network installation
- Mechanical knowledge and experience with voltmeters and ohmmeters
- Understanding of Cisco routers is a plus
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $750.00 - $1,450.00 per week
