Job Overview

Duties
- Manage daily plant operations, including production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and output.
- Oversee quality control processes to ensure concrete products meet specified standards and client expectations.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and process improvements to reduce waste, enhance productivity, and streamline workflows.
- Utilize ERP systems such as SAP for inventory management, production tracking, and supply chain analytics to support decision-making.
- Coordinate with supply chain teams to optimize raw material procurement, inventory levels, and logistics for seamless operations.
- Lead safety initiatives by enforcing strict safety protocols, conducting regular inspections, and fostering a culture of safety awareness among staff.
- Supervise plant personnel, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and fostering a motivated team environment focused on continuous improvement.
- Monitor mechanical systems and equipment performance; coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
- Drive operational excellence through data analysis using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems and other ERP tools to forecast needs and improve manufacturing processes.
Skills
- Proven experience in production management within a manufacturing or construction materials environment.
- Strong knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems for supply chain management and production planning.
- Expertise in lean manufacturing methodologies and process improvement strategies such as Six Sigma or Kaizen.
- Mechanical knowledge related to plant equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to analyze supply chain data for effective decision-making and process optimization.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with quality control standards specific to concrete production; understanding of manufacturing best practices.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration across departments including operations, logistics, procurement, and quality assurance.
