We are seeking a motivated and skilled General Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic facilities team. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, HVAC units, and mechanical components using schematics, hand tools, and testing devices such as ohmmeters.
- Conduct welding, carpentry, painting (including residential painting), and general building interior maintenance to uphold facility standards.
- Maintain facilities equipment by repairing or replacing components as needed while adhering to safety protocols.
- Use programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical schematics to diagnose issues with complex systems and implement effective solutions.
- Supervise or assist with maintenance painting projects and oversee small team tasks when required.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and operational procedures while providing excellent customer service to internal teams or external vendors.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in general maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO), with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
- Proficiency in electrical work, plumbing repairs, HVAC system repair, and building interior maintenance.
- Ability to read schematics and work with electrical equipment using tools such as ohmmeters.
- Skilled in welding, carpentry, plumbing system maintenance and repair, and facilities equipment maintenance.
- Experience supervising or leading maintenance teams with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and electrical troubleshooting techniques.
- Strong communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, electrical equipment repair, HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and maintenance painting projects.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to electrical work, plumbing, HVAC systems, and general facilities maintenance.
