Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of sandwiches, salads, and deli offerings according to established recipes and standards
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing customer orders and transactions efficiently
- Manage food service customer orders with accuracy, ensuring timely delivery and presentation
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations
- Upsell additional menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash register operations, process cash and card payments, and accurately process retail sales transactions
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including slicers, ovens, and other food preparation tools
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and serving with enthusiasm
- Support food safety management practices by following proper handling procedures and sanitation protocols
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining overall cleanliness in the deli area to ensure a safe environment
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation or fast-food environments preferred; culinary or kitchen experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; cashiering experience is beneficial
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Basic math skills for cash handling, processing transactions, and retail math calculations
- Experience working in quick service or fast-food restaurants is highly desirable
- Retail sales experience or grocery store background is advantageous
