Job Description
EDMIS is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the quality and integrity of our products throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods to ensure compliance with established quality standards and customer specifications
- Translate customer specifications and applicable standards into comprehensive production documentation
- Assist in development and maintaining of quality control documentation, including inspection plans, checklists, and control charts
- Maintain and update QMS documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and records
- Manage a system for all non-conforming components and conduct root-cause analysis.
- Perform and maintain calibration records
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., production, engineering, purchasing) to drive continuous improvement in product quality and process efficiency while maintaining a culture of quality throughout the organization.
- Support the preparation for and participation in external audits conducted by regulatory bodies or customers
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong focus on quality assurance and compliance.
- Proven experience with inspection tools (Micrometers, comparators, etc.)
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 and other relevant quality standards.
- Strong understanding and practical application of 6 Sigma methodologies
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
