Job responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain various types of locks and security systems (including specialty hardware for commercial buildings and marine vessels)
- Cut and duplicate keys
- Open locked doors and safes using specialized tools and techniques
- Assess security needs and recommend appropriate solutions
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and send proper check-out reports following work day completion
We do NOT offer emergency lockout work for residential or car and we do not make car keys.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a locksmith for 2 or more years or in a similar role
- Knowledge of different types of locks, keys, and security systems
- Familiarity with locksmith tools and equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good communication and customer service skills
This is a 1099 subcontractor position. Truck and tools can be provided but ideal candidate has their own truck and tools.
