Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and verify their appointment details to facilitate seamless check-in procedures
- Collect, document, and update patient information accurately using electronic health records systems
- Explain intake procedures clearly, answer questions, and provide guidance on necessary documentation or forms
- Coordinate appointment scheduling with clinical staff to optimize workflow and reduce wait times
- Assist with insurance verification and gather relevant medical history to support billing processes
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with privacy regulations
- Support administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing patient files, and preparing intake materials
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a medical or dental office environment is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology to accurately interpret patient information and documentation
- Proven ability to provide excellent medical administrative support with attention to detail
- Office experience demonstrating proficiency with scheduling software and electronic health records systems
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, staff, and healthcare providers
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Knowledge of dental office procedures is a plus but not required
