JOB PURPOSE
A dishwasher in The Chloe is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of all cutlery, glassware, food prep equipment, etc., in accordance with The Chloe’s standards of excellence in a fast-paced, high-quality kitchen environment. This role requires following all sanitary and health standards, attention to detail, and a commitment to assisting the team as needed. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, and thrives in a collaborative team environment dedicated to creating memorable dining experiences for guests. Also, embodying The Chloe’s core values, maintaining clean and organized stations, and contributing to the overall success of the restaurant operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Station Management
- Set up, maintain, and clean assigned workstation, ensuring all tools, shelving, equipment, are available and in good condition.
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of all dishware/flatware/kitchen equipment, safely/skillfully operating washing equipment.
- Wash pots, pans, and other equipment by hand as needed.
- Assist with special cleaning projects and food preparation as requested.
Food Safety and Sanitation:
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling, storage, and labeling of chemicals, food items, chinaware and flatware.
- Report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or issues to the Executive Chef.
Other tasks and responsibilities:
- Assist receiving and storing deliveries, maintaining general organization of kitchen
- Dispose of trash and recyclables during and at end of shift.
- Monitor all kitchen hand sinks for supplies and maintain/stock as needed.
Collaboration and Team Support:
- Work closely with other back of house and front of house team members to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations during service.
- Assist in the training of new dishwashers, sharing knowledge of techniques, recipes, and kitchen procedures.
- Participate in team meetings and provide feedback to improve kitchen operations and menu development.
- Maintain a guest focus, a positive attitude, and collaborate with Chloe team members.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Operate dishwashing equipment and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Be able to stand for long periods of time, remain organized, and think quickly and effectively.
- Set up and break down dish machine equipment, reporting issues to management.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and handle high-pressure situations with poise.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
COMPENSATION
Hourly : $18.00-$24.00
