Operations and Sales Support Engineer
JOB SUMMARY:
The Operations and Sales Support Engineer role combines aspects of engineering and sales to support and grow our operations. This individual would likely be involved in both pre-sales activities like understanding customer needs and demonstrating product capabilities, as well as post-sales activities like troubleshooting technical issues, providing training, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Understand and adhere to all Canatex policies and procedures, furthermore, understand and adhere to any client’s policies and procedures;
- Provide technical support to the operations and sales teams.
Pre-Sales Activities:
- Understanding customer requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
- Preparing and delivering technical presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients.
- Collaborating with sales teams to identify customer needs and opportunities.
Post-Sales Activities:
- Providing technical support to customers, troubleshooting issues, and resolving problems.
- Offering training and support to customers on using the products.
- Collecting feedback on products and features to improve the overall customer experience.
Other Responsibilities:
- Participating in product improvement initiatives.
- Managing and processing customer orders.
- Working with other departments to ensure a smooth customer journey.
- Plays a key role in bringing new products and services to market.
- Other duties as assigned.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of safety requirements and industry practices;
- Strong technical skills.
- Strong technical writing ability.
- Able to understand and carry out routine oral and written instructions;
- Able to lift up to 70 pounds;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and sales teams.
- Problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Understanding customer needs and how to present technical solutions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- Frequent climbing (stairs, ladders, terrain);
- Frequent sitting;
- Frequent bending, twisting and standing;
- Precise hand eye coordination;
- Basic keyboarding and other skills;
Educations, Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred;
- Engineering or related degrees are highly preferred.
Qualifications:
- Results from a pre-employment test must be deemed acceptable in accordance with Canatex policies;
- 5 years’ drivers abstract, must follow Canatex guidelines;
- Preference will be given to candidates that reside in the immediate area of the position;
- Ability to travel;
- Must have the ability to pass a federal background check;
- Must be authorized to work in the United States with no restrictions;
