ARES Corporation is recruiting for a Contracts Specialist with Government contract experience who will be based at our McLean, VA office. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule.
The selected individual will be responsible for:

Supporting the general contract administration of prime contracts and subcontracts in accordance with contract requirements, federal/agency regulations, company policies and procedures, and applicable laws.

Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and executing a broad range of contracts and agreements

Completing comprehensive reviews of customer contracts and terms and conditions
-
Providing interpretation of contract terms and conditions to management and other functional groups.

Identifying and managing contract changes, acting as a focal point for internal and external (customer) communications on contract matters and resolving customer and contract problems and issues.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

A minimum of three years of directly relevant experience in a contracts management position.

Experience in contracting with the U.S. government; experience in aerospace is desired.

Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).

Experience with Cost Plus contracts.

Knowledge of Federal contract formation and proposal preparation.

Demonstrated negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Strong planning and organization skills. Proven attention to detail and the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies.

Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work with a team at all levels of an organization, including ability to effectively interact with and engage senior management both internally and externally on key issues during the contract and compliance process.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word and Excel.
