Job Title: Field Research Assistant
Location: Windfall, IN 46076
Pay Rate: $17.50/hr
Job Type: Contract ( 2+ months )
Hours: Monday – Friday; 7:30am - 4pm
Requirements:
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
- Ability to perform routine tasks under close supervision.
- Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor settings.
- Ability to perform seasonal field research and sample-processing tasks.
- Ability to organize samples, supplies, and materials.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions when performing new tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Perform field research activities related to planting, thinning, weeding, pollinations, and sample harvest.
- Organize samples during corn/soy harvest and/or wheat planting.
- Prepare supplies for sample processing.
- Sort, scan, and weigh samples.
- Prepare samples for shipping.
- Package seeds.
- Perform general facility clean-up and organization.
- Maintain organization of samples and supplies.
- Perform additional routine tasks as needed.
- Complete other tasks as requested by the supervising Field Technician.
