Position Overview
The Elementary Teacher is responsible for providing high-quality instruction to students across multiple grade levels in a small school district. This role requires flexibility, creativity, and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment that meets the academic, social, and emotional needs of students. Teachers in small districts often teach multiple subjects or grade levels and actively contribute to the school community beyond the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver effective lessons aligned with state standards and district curriculum.
- Assess student learning through formal and informal assessments and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and behavior.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with IEPs or 504 plans.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student achievement.
- Serve as a positive role model and promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.
- Participate in school-wide events, committees, and professional development opportunities.
- Adapt teaching strategies for multi-grade or multi-subject instruction as needed.
- Incorporate technology and innovative instructional methods to enhance learning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Valid teaching certification for the appropriate grade levels and subjects.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to teach multiple grade levels or subjects is highly desirable.

- Assist with programs that promote student wellness and school culture.
- Perform other duties as assigned by administration.
Pay: $50,252.00 - $76,327.00 per year
