Merchandise Planners play a vital role as the key link between the buyer, the physical merchandise, and our store teams. The success of the business is closely tied to Planners ability to strategically allocate the right sizes and quantities of product to the right stores. This role requires strong analytical skills, solid understanding of retail and merchandising systems, and keen attention to detail.
Conduct in-depth merchandise analyses to forecast demand and plan advance allocations to stores. Evaluate store sales history and inventory turnover to uncover key trends and opportunities. Allocate merchandise to store locations, ensuring the right mix, size, and quantity. Oversee the store replenishment process to maintain consistent, in-stock assortments. Monitor inventory levels across stores to optimize capacity and drive sales. Partner closely with Buyers to plan and purchase products that meet both financial and customer goals. Assist in the creation and execution of purchase orders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery. Collaborate with store operations teams to align strategies and deliver seamless execution.
