Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Glass Installer to join our team. Must have at least 2-3 years of experience installing glass. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and remodeling, with hands-on experience in installing various types of glass products. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently and as part of a team, ensuring high-quality installations while adhering to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Install glass products including windows, doors, and mirrors with precision and care.
- Measure and cut glass to fit specific openings, ensuring accuracy in fabrication.
- Perform heavy lifting and maneuvering of large glass panels safely.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and drywall installers, to ensure seamless project completion.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for installation tasks.
- Conduct site assessments to determine installation requirements and prepare estimates for materials needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience in remodeling or maintenance person services is preferred.
- Familiarity with frame carpentry, trim carpentry, drywall installation, and metal stud framing is beneficial.
- Ability to perform construction estimating for projects involving glass installation.
- Strong knowledge of hand tools and their proper usage in construction settings.
- Previous experience with heavy lifting and physical labor is essential for this role.
