Commercial Lines Account Manager
We are seeking a client-focused Commercial Lines Account Manager to serve as a trusted advisor and primary day-to-day contact for our commercial insurance clients. This individual will play a critical role in managing the full account lifecycle, from servicing existing policies to coordinating renewals and preparing submissions and proposals.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in mid-market or complex commercial accounts, along with immediate proficiency in Applied Epic to ensure a seamless transition into our workflows. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, service-driven environment and can collaborate effectively across internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for commercial clients, responding to inquiries and providing timely, accurate service
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through consistent communication and advisory support
- Educate clients on coverage options, policy changes, and risk considerations
- Account Lifecycle Management
- Manage day-to-day servicing of assigned commercial accounts
- Monitor policy expirations and proactively coordinate renewals
- Partner with producers, underwriters, and internal teams to ensure seamless account handling
- Maintain accurate documentation and records within Applied Epic
- Submissions & Proposals
- Prepare comprehensive and well-structured market submissions
- Coordinate with carriers and underwriters to obtain competitive quotes
- Develop polished, client-ready proposals and renewal presentations
- Operational & Technical Execution
- Utilize Applied Epic for all account servicing activities, ensuring data integrity and workflow efficiency
- Leverage additional tools such as CSR24, Indio, and SharePoint where applicable
- Adhere to internal processes and best practices for account management
- Compliance & Industry Knowledge
- Stay current with industry trends, carrier updates, and regulatory requirements
- Ensure policies and account handling meet compliance standards
- Support internal audits and documentation accuracy
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years of commercial lines insurance experience, preferably in account management or client service
- Demonstrated experience handling mid-market or complex commercial accounts
- Hands-on proficiency with Applied Epic (required)
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance coverages, policy structures, and renewal processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple accounts, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working within an independent agency or brokerage environment
- Familiarity with CSR24, Indio, and SharePoint
- Professional designations such as CISR, CIC, or ARM (or in progress)
- Experience preparing client presentations and leading renewal discussions
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, client-first mindset
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with sales, underwriting, and service teams
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
