Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – 2nd Shift
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Schedule: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM (2nd Shift)
Join a dedicated team providing compassionate, high-quality care to veterans in a state-run long-term care and skilled nursing facility. This 236-bed Veterans' Center is operated by the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs and specializes in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, memory care, and dementia services for honorably discharged veterans and their eligible spouses.
As an LPN, you'll play a vital role in delivering personalized, resident-centered care while working alongside an experienced interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to veteran residents in a long-term care environment.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
- Monitor, assess, and document residents' health status and report changes promptly.
- Assist with care planning and support residents' daily healthcare needs.
- Collaborate with registered nurses, physicians, nursing assistants, and rehabilitation staff to provide exceptional patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
- Follow all facility policies, safety standards, and infection prevention protocols.
Requirements
- Active Pennsylvania Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
- Previous long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or geriatric nursing experience preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
