Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Take and develop dental X-rays
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Perform patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation
- Utilize dental software systems, such as Epic, for patient records and scheduling
- Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment
Experience:
- Previous experience as a dental assistant is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with medical documentation and record keeping
- Proficiency in taking dental X-rays and maintaining X-ray equipment
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and dental team members
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Skills:
- Proficient in taking dental X-rays and developing them for diagnostic purposes
- Knowledge of dental systems, instruments, and procedures
- Ability to accurately assess patients' vital signs and medical history
- Familiarity with medical terminology used in a dental setting
- Experience with medical documentation, including charting patient information accurately
- Skilled in assisting the dentist during various procedures, such as fillings, extractions, and cleanings
- Proficiency in using dental software systems, , for patient records and scheduling
- Strong understanding of infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment
