As an experienced Groomer at Pet Supplies Plus, You’re deeply devoted to the well-being of pets and their pet parents. Providing exceptional, neighborly service at every opportunity during your workday, you will:
- Communicating effectively with pet owners, understanding their grooming needs and providing feedback.
- Bathing, conditioning, and drying pets to maintain cleanliness and coat health.
- Trimming, clipping, and styling fur according to breed standards or owner preferences.
- Brushing teeth, cleaning ears, and trimming nails as part of comprehensive grooming care.
- Detangling and removing mats to ensure a smooth and healthy coat.
- Expressing anal glands when necessary to maintain pet comfort.
- Maintaining a clean and organized grooming station, adhering to sanitation protocols.
- Handling pets with care and patience, ensuring their comfort and safety during the grooming process.
Groomer candidates will have:
- Required to have at least 2-year or more of grooming experience with formal training certification and/or multi-year experienced and have a grooming book showing different bread cuts & styles you have performed.
- Ability to move or lift merchandise, equipment or pets weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, bend or stoop for extended periods of time.
- All Equipment provided by Pet Supplies Plus, you can bring own blades, clippers if you wish to use own items. Blade Sharpening paid for by Store Owner
- Flexibility in working weekdays, evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Candidates must pass the drug screening (in applicable states) and be 18 years or older.
