Overview
We are looking for an experienced residential HVAC technician and/or installer. Oil experience is a plus. Minimum of 5 year experience in the field. Union job with benefits. We are a family owned business going on 4 generations in the area. Mainly servicing Town of Huntington and Town of Smithtown. Guaranteed 40 hours per week plus weekends and nights with plenty of overtime to go around.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, and ventilation systems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, pressure checks, and component inspections to prevent future failures.
- Install new HVAC equipment following design specifications and schematics, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes.
- Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems, including pipe repairs and refrigerant line installations.
- Utilize the proper tools to diagnose and repair issues.
- Central air conditioning, mini-split, boiler and furnace installations.
Experience
- Proven experience as a residential service technician in HVAC with a strong understanding of HVAC design principles.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems relevant to HVAC applications.
- Familiarity with schematics reading, electrical troubleshooting using ohmmeters, and mechanical repair techniques such as welding.
- Experience working with boilers, appliances repair, field service operations, and property maintenance tasks is highly desirable.
- Valid driver’s license (including <PERSON> driver if applicable) with a clean driving record to support on-site visits and equipment transport. Pay: $40.00 per hour
