Cotuit Center for the Arts is a welcoming nonprofit community arts center dedicated to inspiring creativity through music and arts education for children, teens, and adults. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and reliable music instructor to teach private lessons in piano, voice, guitar, and/or ukulele.
This is a great opportunity for a teacher who enjoys working with a wide range of ages and skill levels in a supportive, community-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Teach weekly private music lessons to children, teens, and adults
- Create engaging, individualized lessons based on student goals and abilities
- Foster a positive, encouraging learning environment
- Communicate professionally with students, families, and staff
- Maintain punctuality and consistent scheduling
- Optional opportunities to assist with recitals, performances, open mics, and community events
Qualifications
- Experience teaching private music lessons preferred
- Proficiency in one or more of the following: piano, voice, guitar, and ukulele
- Ability to work with beginner through intermediate students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, organized, and patient
- Music degree or current music studies are a plus, but not required
Schedule
- Part-time
- Afternoon and evenings depending on studio availability
- Flexible scheduling based on instructor availability and student enrollment
Compensation
- Competitive pay of $21 per 30 minute lesson
