CNC Programmer/Machinist
$28-$30 / hour.

A growing Huntsville defense contractor has an opening for a Programmer/Machinist to program, set up and operate CNC machines.
Responsibilities:
Program, set up and operate CNC machines to produce complex aerospace parts for mills and lathes, according to drawings. Create detailed setup sheets with instructions/tool list.
Design tooling and fixtures for CNC machines or support equipment.
Determine proper tooling to take into account machine speed, feeds and other parameters.
Evaluate machine run times to maximize efficiencies in cycle times.
Use inspection tools to measure first pieces and in process production dimensions for accuracy.
Perform routine maintenance on machines and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience with CNC programming and operation using Mastercam,
SolidWorks or similar CAD programs for mills and lathes. The ideal candidate will have AS9100, Mil Spec, & DoD manufacturing experience.
Able to use basic measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.
Able to read and interpret military drawings (complete understanding of GD&T).
Self-starter who is detail-oriented, able to multi-task and has a reliable attendance record with a strong work ethic.
Work hours are Monday – Friday 7:30AM to 4:00 PM
Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
