Greenpoint Veterinary Hospital is an established community veterinary hospital deeply devoted to pet health and client care. We're currently looking to hire a Veterinary Receptionist with Assistant experience to support our growing team. Most days you'll be working at the front desk, with occasional days scheduled in the room assisting our doctors, restraining cats and dogs or helping with hospital upkeep.

Greenpoint Veterinary Hospital allows ample time for appointments; clients and pets are never rushed in and out, which lets us provide high-quality care every day. This is primarily a client-facing reception role with regular opportunities to work hands-on in the treatment area as a room assistant, making it a great fit for someone who enjoys connecting with clients and loves working directly with animals.
As a Veterinary Receptionist/Assistant, most of your days will be spent as the first point of contact for our clients at the front desk. On other days, you'll instead be in the room assisting our doctors, or focused on cleaning and stocking to keep the hospital running smoothly.
This role is for 4 days a week, 10-hour shifts
A typical day might include:
At the front desk:
- Providing excellent customer care
- Answering phones and scheduling appointments
- Greeting clients and pets upon check-in
- Receiving and recording payments upon check-out
- Maintaining accurate records of client communications
In the treatment area:
- Restraining and comforting cats and dogs for exams and treatments
- Assisting doctors in the room during exams
- Keeping a clean work environment
- Giving lots of love and treats out!
- Helping with opening, closing, and daily upkeep tasks (stocking, cleaning, equipment checks, and general hospital maintenance)
