We are looking for an accountant to join a manufacturing organization on a contract basis. This on-site opportunity is suited for an accounting specialist who can manage core accounting activities, support accurate financial reporting, and work effectively in a busy operational environment. The role offers the chance to contribute across several accounting functions while partnering with the broader team to maintain reliable financial records. THIS IS A FULLY ON-SITE ROLE.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including support for period-end close and review of account balances.
- Prepare, enter, and validate journal entries to ensure financial records are complete and accurate.
- Reconcile bank accounts regularly and investigate variances to resolve outstanding issues promptly.
- Maintain fixed asset records, including account reconciliation and ongoing tracking of asset activity.
- Record and balance intercompany transactions to support accurate reporting across entities.
- Assist with financial reporting by compiling data, reviewing accuracy, and helping maintain strong accounting controls.
- Use Microsoft Dynamics 365 to process accounting transactions and monitor financial activity.
- Analyze accounting data in Microsoft Excel, including the use of pivot tables to prepare schedules and reports.
- Contribute to special accounting assignments and help improve existing workflows and processes.
- 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in an accountant or accounting analyst capacity.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
- Solid knowledge of general ledger accounting and core accounting principles.
- Hands-on experience with journal entries, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, and month-end close activities.
- Familiarity with intercompany accounting and the ability to maintain accurate supporting documentation.
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations is preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, for analysis and reporting.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
