Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dog Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and training, with experience in dog handling, pet behavior modification and Service dog training. This role involves working closely with dogs of various temperaments and breeds to improve obedience, socialization, and advance training. The Dog Trainer will also support pet owners through education and personalized training plans, ensuring a positive experience for both animals and clients.
Duties
- Conduct individual and group training sessions to teach basic commands, advance training, and socialization skills.
- Assess dogs’ temperaments and develop tailored training programs to meet specific needs.
- Handle dogs safely using proper restraint techniques during training and assessments.
- Educate pet owners on training techniques, behavior management, and pet care best practices.
Skills
- Proven experience in dog training or service dog training.
- Strong animal handling skills with knowledge of animal restraint techniques.
- Experience working with various dogs
- Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and team members.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with animal care activities.

Pay: $22.98 - $27.67 per hour
