Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Sonographer to join our infertility practice. We are looking for 630am-930am Mon-Fri. The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment, with a focus on obstetrics/gynecology (Ob/Gyn) and infertility. This role requires a thorough understanding of medical imaging, anatomy, and physiology, along with excellent patient care and communication skills. The Sonographer will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality imaging services in a clinical setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including obstetric, gynecologic, and other specialized imaging as required.
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures, ensuring comfort, and maintaining a professional bedside manner.
- Operate ultrasound equipment accurately while adhering to aseptic techniques to prevent infections.
- Analyze images for quality and clarity, making adjustments as necessary for optimal diagnostic results.
- Document findings accurately and communicate preliminary observations to physicians or radiologists.
- Maintain detailed patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and proper functioning of ultrasound equipment.
- Stay updated on advancements in sonography techniques and medical imaging technology through ongoing education.
Requirements
- Proven experience or training in sonography with knowledge of medical imaging principles.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to obstetrics, gynecology, and diagnostic radiology.
- Familiarity with maternal-fetal medicine and Ob/Gyn procedures is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during examinations.
- Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail during patient care.
- Certification or licensure in sonography or diagnostic radiology preferred.
- Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical imaging technology is essential for accurate diagnosis.
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
