Description:
A Newcomer Teacher works with students who have recently immigrated and may have limited or no formal schooling in the U.S. The role blends language acquisition with foundational academic skills and cultural adaptation and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons in English language, literacy, and cognitive academic skills, using differentiated strategies for multilevel learners. Represents limited English proficient (LEP) students in meetings with counselors, content teachers, parents, and administrators and work withs core content teachers to ensure support services for English Language Learners (ELLs).
Qualifications:
Qualified applicants will hold the appropriate teacher certification and endorsements for the subject to be taught.
ESL certification required

Salary determination will be based on verified relevant work experience.
