Youth Soccer Coach
Location: Hendersonville, TN
Employment Type: Part-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–11:30 AM
Pay: $18–$23 per hour based on experience
Position Summary
The Youth Soccer Coach is responsible for leading fun, engaging, and age-appropriate soccer activities for young players. This position focuses on teaching fundamental soccer skills, encouraging teamwork, building confidence, and creating a positive experience for children in a safe and supportive environment.
The ideal candidate is energetic, patient, reliable, and passionate about working with children and youth sports.
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead youth soccer training sessions for children of various ages and skill levels.
- Teach basic soccer skills including:
- Ball control
- Passing
- Shooting
- Dribbling
- Teamwork
- Sportsmanship
- Create fun and engaging activities that keep children active and involved.
- Provide positive coaching, encouragement, and feedback.
- Maintain a safe and organized training environment.
- Demonstrate proper soccer techniques and game concepts.
- Manage groups of children while maintaining structure and discipline.
- Communicate positively with parents regarding player development and program activities.
- Assist with setup and cleanup of training areas.
- Follow facility safety policies and procedures.
- Support camps, clinics, and special events as needed.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
Required:
- Experience playing soccer or strong knowledge of the game.
- Ability to work with children in a positive and patient manner.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to actively participate in drills and activities.
Preferred:
- Previous coaching experience.
- Experience working with children ages 3–12.
- Soccer coaching certification (USSF, NSCAA, or similar).
- Background in education, recreation, childcare, or youth sports.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- 8:30 AM–11:30 AM
- Approximately 15 hours per week
- Additional hours may be available for camps, leagues, and special events.
