Summary
We are seeking a Dock Supervisor to join our team at Ponce Ground Service LLC. In this role, you will oversee dock operations, ensuring efficient loading and unloading of goods while maintaining safety standards. Your leadership will be vital in optimizing our logistics processes and supporting our mission of exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily dock operations, including loading and unloading of materials.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Train and support dock staff in best practices for forklift operations and yard hosteling.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate shipping and receiving processes.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track shipments and manage documentation.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse management or logistics operations.
- Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is essential.
- Mechanical knowledge related to dock equipment is a plus..
