Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain various types of garage doors, including sectional, rolling steel, and custom designs.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to complete installations and repairs efficiently.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and building codes to ensure precise work that meets safety standards.
- Conduct glass installation, door hanging, frame carpentry, and fixture or cabinet installation as needed for custom projects.
- Perform electrical work related to garage door openers, sensors, wiring, and troubleshooting mechanical or electrical malfunctions.
- Engage in heavy lifting and physical tasks such as metal stud framing or drywall installation on construction sites or remodeling projects.
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes and safety regulations while providing excellent customer service throughout every interaction.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with construction site work, remodeling, carpentry (including trim carpentry), or handyman tasks.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics interpretation.
- Familiarity with glass installation, locksmithing basics, electrical work related to garage systems, and blueprint reading.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly.
- Knowledge of building code compliance standards relevant to door installation and construction projects.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients.
- Construction experience involving metal stud framing or fixture installation is highly desirable.
