General Description
The Engineers role is responsible for supporting the daily operations, safety and upkeep of the Wythe Hotel’s facilities. This role ensures that the building systems, guest rooms, public spaces, and back of house areas are maintained to the highest standards, consistent with the hotels historic character, design integrity, and Michelin Key recognized guest experience. This role will work closely with multiple departments to address maintenance needs efficiently while minimizing disruption to hotel operations .
Job Responsibilities / Essential Functions
- Monitor, inspect, maintain, and service HVAC systems, equipment, and components
- Perform routine and corrective maintenance on plumbing, electrical systems, fixtures, and equipments
- Inspect, support, and assist in the maintenance of fire and life safety systems, ensuring compliance with state and city regulations
- Complete basic carpentry, repairs, and special projects, including light masonry work, using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment
- Respond promptly to maintenance request and emergency repair situations
- Work closely with the Front Desk, Housekeeping, Events, and Management to support daily operations and guest experience
- Availability for late night, early morning, weekend and/or holiday coverage as required
Position Skills & Requirements
- Prior experience in hotel, residential, or commercial building maintenance preferred
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
- Reliable, punctual, and professional

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 45.0 per week
