Montessori Country Day is looking for a dedicated and passionate teacher to join our school. The Floater/Assistant Teacher would help administration with morning duties and teachers throughout the school, subbing and stepping into classrooms when needed. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with children, be passionate about working with them and have excellent communication skills.
Floater/afternoon Teacher Duties
- Assist morning administration with answering phones
- Preparing morning snack for the school
- Stepping into classrooms to cover for restroom breaks, parent meetings, or the occasional substituting in the different age classrooms.
- Provide time for teachers to have a planning period.
- Having initiative and finding different tasks around the school that need attention.
- In charge of Afterschool program
- Provide safe, fun, and educational environment for children in afternoon care
- Work with students to improve their social and emotional skills
- Assist the admin in supervising the day to day activities of students
- Maintain a clean and safe classroom for the safety of students
- Communicate effectively with parents and other family members
- Collaborate with other teachers on improving the curriculum for students
- Other duties as assigned by the Director
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
