Associate in House Attorney – Granger National Bank
Granger National Bank is seeking a highly organized legal professional who can effectively balance legal counsel responsibilities with executive support, contributing to the Bank’s growth, compliance, and operational success.
Position Summary
This unique role combines legal counsel responsibilities with executive-level support for the Senior Vice President of Granger National Bank. The ideal candidate will provide legal guidance on commercial, corporate, banking, and lending matters while serving as a trusted administrative and strategic partner to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities Legal Counsel & Banking Support
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including service agreements, vendor contracts, loan documents, engagement letters, and non-disclosure agreements.
- Support commercial and consumer lending transactions, SBA lending, loan modifications, workouts, restructurings, and foreclosure matters.
- Advise on corporate governance, compliance, regulatory matters, vendor management, employment issues, intellectual property, and real estate transactions.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting financial institutions and implement appropriate policy and procedural updates.
- Serve as a day-to-day legal advisor, identifying risks and providing practical business solutions.
- Prepare presentations, reports, board materials, meeting agendas, and executive summaries.
- Coordinate communications with customers, vendors, regulators, attorneys, auditors, community partners, and bank leadership.
- Track strategic initiatives, special projects, deadlines, and follow-up action items.
- Maintain confidential records and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Provide administrative and operational support to ensure the effective execution of bank initiatives and leadership objectives.

Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active Texas Bar admission.
- 1–2 years of experience in banking, corporate law, commercial transactions, or related legal practice preferred.
- Strong legal drafting, research, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Professional demeanor with the ability to interact effectively with executives, directors, regulators, clients, and community stakeholders.
