Warehouse Lead – AVL Production & Rentals
Kent Audio Visual | Wichita, KS
Full-Time | Wichita, KS
Improve Systems. Solve Problems. Create Exceptional Events.
Kent Audio Visual is looking for an organized, hands-on leader to help keep our Rentals Department operating at its best.
As our Warehouse Lead (Assistant Warehouse & Inventory Manager), you'll work alongside our Warehouse & Inventory Manager to ensure our rental equipment, warehouse, and team are prepared to deliver exceptional experiences for our clients.
Success in this role isn't measured by how many boxes you move or barcodes you scan—it's measured by how prepared our team is when it's time to serve our clients. Every organized shelf, every accurate inventory count, and every properly prepared show contributes directly to exceptional event experiences.
If you enjoy expanding & improving systems, solving problems, taking ownership, and helping a team succeed, we'd love to meet you.
Responsibilities
- Support the daily operation of the Rentals warehouse, ensuring equipment moves efficiently through return, check-in, maintenance, prep, pull, load, and delivery.
- Assist with pulling, prepping, loading, and returning rental equipment for events.
- Maintain accurate inventory through barcoding, asset tracking, cycle counts, and inventory audits.
- Ensure rental equipment is clean, tested, organized, and show-ready before every event.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
- Identify damaged, missing, or underperforming equipment and assist with repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Coordinate with the Warehouse & Inventory Manager, Project Managers, and Rental Technicians to ensure equipment is prepared and ready on schedule.
- Help improve warehouse workflows, organization, and standard operating procedures that support a growing department.
- Lead by example by promoting accountability, teamwork, and attention to detail.
- Support warehouse operations during early mornings, evenings, weekends, and high-volume event periods as needed.
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who:
- Takes ownership of their work and follows through.
- Enjoys solving problems and improving systems.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change.
- Pays attention to detail without losing sight of deadlines.
- Communicates well and works collaboratively with others.
- Leads by example through a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Is eager to learn and continuously improve.
Preferred qualifications include:
- 3+ years of experience working with professional audio visual equipment is preferred, but equivalent warehouse, production, or inventory experience combined with a strong willingness to learn will also be considered.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams.
- Comfortable learning inventory management software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Comfortable driving company vans and box trucks.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis.
- Comfortable working on ladders.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather and temperature conditions.
- Flexible schedule, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.
