Thank you for considering this position. We are looking for a Dance Captain that already has teaching experience with children to be our Dance Captain for our Fall Production of Willy Wonka Jr.
We have already had the choreography created and recorded with video tutorials by our choreographer Megan Alves. This position would be involved in learning the choreography and then teaching it to our various casts, aged 7 - 14, in the Fall from August thru end of October 2026.
There is a financial stipend of $200 paid separately at the end of your term for learning all of the choreography prior to teaching it.
Duties to include:
- Learn all the choreography as created by Megan (video-recorded)
- Attend rehearsals at the following times (beginning the week of August 25th and running through until October 29th)
- Mondays 3:25pm - 5:25pm
- Tuesdays 3:55pm- 5:55pm
- Thursdays 1:55pm - 3:55pm
Preferences in hiring:
Preference will be given to applicants who:
- Have verifiable work history of dependability and consistency
- Have previous Musical Theatre Dance teaching experience
- Have worked with children
- Have choreographed previously
Requirements in hiring:
- Must be available on the following days and times (must be available for all 3 of these days):
- Mondays 3:25pm - 5:15pm
- Tuesdays 3:55pm- 5:55pm
- Thursdays 1:55pm - 3:55pm
- Must be able to pass background checks (criminal)
- Must genuinely enjoy teaching children and have previous successful and verifiable experience teaching children
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
