We are seeking a hands-on, operations-focused leader to guide clinical and operational functions for a growing Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) in Jersey City, NJ. This leadership opportunity is ideal for an experienced ASC nursing leader who thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment and enjoys building processes, developing teams, and driving operational excellence. The role will oversee both the Jersey City and Hackensack locations, playing a key role in the continued growth and success of a newly established surgery center.
- Provide leadership and oversight for clinical and operational functions across the ASC
- Support the growth and development of a newly established surgery center
- Manage staffing, scheduling, workflow, and daily surgery center operations
- Oversee financial performance, budget management, and resource utilization
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and patient safety standards
- Partner with executive leadership to drive operational efficiencies and growth initiatives
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and exceptional patient care
- Serve as a visible, hands-on leader supporting staff and day-to-day operations
- Oversee daily operations of the Ambulatory Surgery Center
- Lead and support nursing, clinical, and support staff across multiple locations
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and operational workflows
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accrediting agency standards
- Monitor quality, patient safety, and operational performance metrics
- Oversee department budgets, financial performance, and resource allocation
- Partner with leadership on strategic planning and ASC growth initiatives
- Support physician relationships and coordinate multidisciplinary care delivery
- Develop, mentor, and evaluate staff performance
- Implement and improve policies, procedures, and operational processes
- Maintain a hands-on leadership presence and assist operationally when needed
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Minimum 2 years of Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) leadership experience required
- Experience managing surgical services operations, staffing, and scheduling
- Strong understanding of ASC regulatory, accreditation, and compliance requirements
- Experience with financial oversight, budgeting, and operational management
- Orthopedic and Pain Management surgery experience strongly preferred
- Multi-site leadership experience preferred
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey required
- Hands-on leadership style with a willingness to support the team wherever needed
