Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shop Helper to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support daily manufacturing and repair activities within our workshop, assisting with various tasks that ensure smooth operations. Your enthusiasm and mechanical aptitude will contribute to maintaining a safe, efficient, and productive environment.
Responsibilities
Assist with the handling and movement of heavy materials using forklifts and manual handling techniques
Support operations by preparing parts, tools, and materials needed for production tasks
Use hand tools, power tools
Maintain safety standards by adhering to safety protocols during all activities and promoting a safe work environment
Help with warehouse organization, inventory management, and ensuring production is efficient
Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency and quality
Setting up new departments, furniture, tools etc.
Skills
Proficiency in operating forklifts and familiarity with warehouse experience
Hands-on experience with factory or manufacturing facility environments
Mechanical knowledge including the use of hand tools, power tools
Understanding of safety standards in production environments
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while following manual handling procedures
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
