Duties
- Thoroughly wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, glassware, cookware, and kitchen equipment using appropriate cleaning techniques and tools
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure all areas adhere to health and safety standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, or organizing ingredients as needed for kitchen staff
- Support catering events or banquet functions by managing dishware and assisting with setup or cleanup processes
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely replenishment of clean items for service
- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure hygiene compliance
- Help with general cleaning duties around the kitchen including floors, counters, and storage areas to uphold a sanitary environment
Skills
- Proven experience in food service environments such as restaurants, hotels, or catering operations
- Knowledge of proper dishwashing techniques and sanitation standards
- Ability to handle food safely and follow food handling protocols
- Experience with bussing tables and supporting food preparation tasks
- Familiarity with banquet or large-scale event setups is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in cleaning routines
- Excellent teamwork skills to coordinate effectively with culinary and service staff
