Overview
Lead Our Used Vehicle Operation from Acquisition to Front-Line Ready.
Redemption Auto Sales is one of the fastest-growing independent dealerships in the Tampa Bay area. Our mission is simple:
Changing the Used Car Experience. One Happy Customer at a Time.
We're looking for an experienced automotive professional to take ownership of our entire used vehicle operation. This is more than an inventory manager position—you'll oversee the complete lifecycle of every vehicle we purchase while leading the team responsible for getting every vehicle front-line ready.
If you're passionate about buying the right inventory, building efficient processes, leading people, and holding yourself and your team to a high standard of excellence, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Be Responsible For
You will oversee every stage of the used vehicle process, including:
- Vehicle acquisition and sourcing
- Trade appraisals
- Auction purchasing
- Vehicle inspections
- Inventory buying decisions
- Reconditioning management
- Mechanical and cosmetic repair oversight
- Parts ordering
- Vendor management
- Quality control inspections
- Front-line readiness
- Inventory merchandising coordination
- Cost control
- Inventory turn management
- Department profitability
- Managing and developing the Used Vehicle Department staff
- Creating accountability and efficiency throughout the department
You own every vehicle from the moment we purchase it until it's ready for sale.
Leadership Responsibilities
This is a leadership position.
You'll be responsible for building, coaching, and managing the Used Vehicle Department while creating a culture built on:
- High standards
- Accountability
- Ownership
- Continuous improvement
- Teamwork
- Operational excellence
We believe leaders set the standard—not just enforce it.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate has experience in one or more of the following:
- Used Car Manager
- Inventory Manager
- Acquisition Manager
- Used Vehicle Director
- Recon Manager
- Auction Buyer
You should also possess:
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational ability
- Exceptional follow-through
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to make confident purchasing decisions
- High attention to detail
- A process-driven mindset
- Leadership experience
- Strong computer skills
Mechanical knowledge is imperative.
You do not need to be the technician performing repairs, but you must have a strong understanding of vehicle diagnostics, mechanical systems, repair estimating, and reconditioning costs. The ability to properly evaluate vehicles and make sound repair decisions is critical to success in this role.
What Success Looks Like
You'll be measured on:
- Inventory quality
- Gross profit
- Inventory turn
- Recon turnaround time
- Recon cost control
- Front-line readiness
- Department efficiency
- Team performance
- Process compliance
If you naturally solve problems instead of making excuses, you'll thrive here.
