We are a growing, mid-sized company building a group of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing businesses under one organization, and we're looking for an experienced Master Electrician / Electrical Division Manager to take ownership of our growing electrical division in Louisville.
This is NOT a traditional field electrician position.
This is a leadership + estimating + project management + operations position where you'll have the opportunity to use your electrical expertise to:
Lead an established team
Estimate new residential & commercial projects

WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT

You'll have the opportunity to help decide how the electrical division operates and grows.
You'll oversee approximately 10–12 electricians, helpers, and apprentices and have real authority over:
Crew assignments
Scheduling & dispatch
Staffing recommendations
Estimating
Job planning
Training & development
Recruiting
Field operations
Process improvement
Project profitability
You'll report directly to ownership/senior management, giving you a direct line to the people making the company's major decisions.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
LEAD THE ELECTRICAL TEAM
- Manage, coach, mentor, and develop electricians, helpers, and apprentices.
- Set expectations for workmanship, productivity, safety, professionalism, and customer service.
- Lead an established team of approximately 10–12 field employees.
- Identify training and development opportunities.
- Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring as the division grows.
- Help create career paths for electricians and apprentices.
ESTIMATE & WIN THE WORK
- Estimate residential and commercial electrical projects.
- Review blueprints, plans, specifications, and scopes of work.
- Perform labor and material takeoffs.
- Determine manpower, materials, equipment, and project requirements.
- Prepare accurate and competitive estimates.
- Assist with change orders and additional-work pricing.
- Use your field experience to identify potential challenges before projects begin.
PLAN & SET UP PROJECTS
Once a job is sold, you'll help turn the estimate into a successful project.
You'll:
Establish project scope
Set labor expectations
Identify material requirements
Establish schedules
Assign the appropriate crews
Make sure crews have what they need to succeed
Ensure field employees understand what was sold and what is expected
SCHEDULE & MANAGE CREWS
- Schedule and dispatch field crews.
- Match manpower and skill level to project requirements.
- Adjust schedules as priorities change.
- Ensure crews are properly staffed and prepared.
- Keep projects moving efficiently and on schedule.
WATCH THE NUMBERS

BE THE TECHNICAL EXPERT

Electrical troubleshooting
NEC/code questions
Permitting
Inspections
Installation methods
Difficult field issues
You'll be the person the team can call when they need an experienced Master Electrician to help solve a problem.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for someone who combines electrical expertise + leadership + business mindset.
REQUIRED:
Current Master Electrician license/credentials appropriate for the position
Significant electrical experience
Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code
Experience estimating electrical projects
Ability to read blueprints, plans, specifications, and construction documents
Experience performing or overseeing labor/material takeoffs
Experience leading electricians, apprentices, helpers, or field crews
Strong understanding of electrical labor, materials, and job planning
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
STRONGLY PREFERRED:
Residential electrical experience
Commercial electrical experience
Job costing/project profitability experience
Recruiting & employee development experience
Experience working with builders/general contractors
Experience working with inspectors and permitting authorities
Previous electrical management or operations experience
ServiceTitan experience
We are a ServiceTitan shop, so ServiceTitan experience or knowledge is a strong plus and may be considered when determining compensation.
