Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Store Manager leading the staff of our gas station, convenience store, and highly rated restaurant. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all store operations, including sales, customer service, inventory control, and staff supervision.
- Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard new team members to build a high-performing retail sales team.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed store targets while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Oversee inventory management, purchasing, pricing, merchandising, stocking, and stock rotation to optimize product availability.
- Manage payroll processing, cash handling procedures, POS (Point of Sale) systems, and bookkeeping tasks with accuracy and integrity.
- Conduct employee orientation, training & development sessions to enhance team skills in retail math, product knowledge, and operational procedures.
- Monitor store performance through regular reporting and analysis; adjust strategies accordingly to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies, store policies, and legal regulations; handle customer complaints professionally and promptly.
Requirements
- Proven management experience in retail and merchandising. Food service experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Experience with POS systems, inventory management software, and basic bookkeeping principles.
- Demonstrated ability in employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, training & development.
- Familiarity with retail math including pricing strategies, budgeting, sales management, and cash handling procedures.
