We are seeking a Corporate Partnerships & Sponsorship Manager to drive sponsorship revenue across a diverse portfolio of nonprofit client associations. This role owns the full business development cycle — identifying prospects, pitching tailored sponsorship packages, closing agreements, and managing sponsor relationships for year-over-year retention — while providing membership management support to client operations. This position is ideal for a self-directed relationship builder who is comfortable initiating outreach and navigating a sales process from first contact to close. As the corporate partnership function grows, this role has the potential to evolve into a dedicated business development position for the right person.
Essential Job Functions
- Identify, cultivate, and solicit corporate sponsors across multiple client associations, from initial outreach through signed agreement.
- Develop and pitch tailored sponsorship packages tied to conferences, events, publications, and digital platforms.
- Serve as primary relationship manager for all corporate accounts, driving consistent engagement and year-over-year retention.
- Build and manage a healthy prospect pipeline; track activity, revenue performance, and campaign metrics, reporting results to client leadership and account teams.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align sponsorship opportunities with client priorities and ensure sponsor benefits are fulfilled accurately and on time.
- Support invoicing and billing coordination, and contribute to sponsorship pricing and package strategy to maximize profitability and value.
- Execute member registration, onboarding, and engagement processes; maintain accurate member data in the association management system (AMS).
- Respond to member inquiries in a timely, professional manner and support a positive member experience.
- Serve as liaison to membership and sponsorship committees, including meeting scheduling, agendas, minutes, and follow-up.
- Attend client conferences to support onsite registration and sponsorship activation; maintain project boards, timelines, files, and records.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Demonstrated track record of building corporate relationships and meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Comfortable initiating prospect outreach and managing a sales process from first contact to close.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including compelling proposal writing and professional follow-up.
- Highly organized and self-directed; able to manage multiple accounts and client organizations simultaneously.
- Familiarity with CRM tools, association management software, or project management platforms is helpful.
Education and Experience
- 2+ years of experience in sponsorship sales, corporate partnerships, advertising sales, or business development required; nonprofit or association experience is a plus but not required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
