Guy Fieri’s Mt. Pocono Kitchen is looking for a hands-on Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. This is not a clipboard-only position — we need a chef who is actively working the line, leading by example, jumping into service, coaching the team in real time, and making sure every plate delivers the bold, flavorful, high-energy experience guests expect from a Guy Fieri restaurant.
The ideal candidate has strong full-service kitchen experience, including working a hot line, sauté, grill, and high-volume service. We are looking for someone with leadership ability, urgency, personality, and a true passion for great food, great service, and a fun, energetic kitchen culture.

Key Responsibilities - Culinary Leadership & Brand Standards
- Lead kitchen operations while actively working the line during service
- Execute and maintain Guy Fieri brand standards across all menu items
- Uphold Guy Fieri’s bold culinary vision, signature flavor profiles, and high-energy guest experience
- Ensure every dish is prepared with consistency, quality, speed, and proper presentation
- Drive menu execution with attention to flavor, accuracy, timing, and guest satisfaction
- Maintain strict quality control during high-volume service
Hands-On Kitchen Execution
- Work directly on the line during peak periods, including sauté, grill, expo, prep, and service as needed
- Lead by example with urgency, organization, cleanliness, and professionalism
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including prep, service, and closing
- Ensure food is prepared and served in a timely, consistent, and brand-approved manner
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen at all times
- Enforce food safety, sanitation, and ServSafe standards
Team Management
- Hire, train, coach, and develop kitchen staff, including Sous Chefs, Line Cooks, and Prep Cooks
- Build a positive, high-performance kitchen culture rooted in teamwork and accountability
- Mentor team members to improve skill, speed, consistency, and efficiency
- Schedule staff effectively to meet business demands
- Communicate clearly and professionally with both kitchen and management teams
Cost Control & Inventory
- Manage food cost, labor cost, inventory, and waste reduction
- Order and maintain inventory efficiently
- Conduct regular inventory counts and cost analysis
- Maintain strong vendor relationships
- Monitor prep levels, portioning, waste, and overall kitchen productivity
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant
- 2+ years in a leadership role, such as Executive Chef, Head Chef, or Sous Chef
- Strong understanding of American cuisine, comfort food, and bold flavor profiles
- Proven ability to lead high-volume kitchens, preferably 200+ covers
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience with inventory management, food costing, labor controls, and scheduling
- ServSafe Certification preferred, or ability to obtain
