SUMMARY
Clinical Asset Appraisal is an equipment appraisal firm. We determine what the equipment inside medical and dental practices is actually worth, and we do it for insurance, for lending, for partnership buy-ins and for sales.
Here is the whole job. Two days a week you drive to medical and dental offices in your own area. You walk in, introduce the firm at the front desk, leave a printed booklet and a card, and find out who handles equipment and insurance for that practice. You write it down. On the days in between, you make short follow-up calls to confirm the material reached the right person, and when someone is interested, you book a twenty-minute meeting with our appraiser.
You do not have to close a sale. You do not have to answer a technical question. Anything that turns into a real conversation about pricing or the work itself goes straight to the appraiser. Your job is to open the door and set the meeting.
This is an independent contractor role.
WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING
- Visiting medical and dental offices in your assigned territory on your route days
- Introducing the firm at the front desk and leaving the printed booklet and card
- Finding out and recording who handles equipment and insurance at each practice
- Keeping an accurate written log of every office you visit
- Making short confirmation calls a couple of days after each visit
- Booking twenty-minute meetings for the appraiser through our online booking link
- Handing anything technical, anything about price, and anything complicated to the appraiser
Every card you hand out carries your own code, so the work you do is tracked to you and you get credit for it.
WHAT THIS PAYS
This is a commission role. You are paid on results, not on hours.
You earn on the business you open, and you keep earning on those clients for as long as they stay with us. There is no cap on it.
The full commission schedule is given to you in writing before you sign anything, so you can look at the actual numbers and decide with your eyes open. There is nothing to buy, no fees, no deductions and no inventory. We do not make money from you. We make money with you.
WHAT WE TEACH YOU
Most people who work in business never learn how the insurance side of it actually functions. You will.
Equipment appraisal sits at the intersection of insurance, lending and healthcare, and we teach that intersection to every representative we bring on. You will learn what a schedule of equipment is and why most practices are carrying the wrong one. You will learn the difference between replacement cost and actual cash value, what a coinsurance clause does to a claim, and why a practice can be paying premiums for years and still be paid a fraction of a loss. You will learn how a lender looks at equipment, and why an appraisal signed by a credentialed appraiser is a different document than a number off a website.
This is not a script you memorize. It is an industry you learn, and it is knowledge you keep whether you are with us for one year or ten.
Training is provided and it is taken seriously. You are taught the product directly by our principal appraiser, who holds the CMEA designation and came into this work from commercial insurance underwriting. Nobody rides along with you and nobody looks over your shoulder in the field. That is deliberate. It means we hire people we do not have to supervise.
WHERE THIS GOES
We are building territories, not filling a temporary gap.
A representative who opens their market well is the person we look at first when that market needs a second and third rep, because the person who learned the doors is the person who should be training on them. Beyond that, the appraisal credential itself is open to representatives who bring in business. It is a real designation with a real body behind it, and we will support someone pursuing it.
We are going to be straight with you about that last part: it is an opportunity, not a program on a timetable. Nobody has walked that path here yet. If you are the kind of person who hears "you would be the first" as an opening rather than a warning, we should talk.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We can teach anyone the product. We cannot teach someone to care.
DETERMINATION. You finish the route. You do not go home at three with six stops left. You make the follow-up calls even on the day you would rather not, because the calls are where this job actually pays.
HUSTLE, in the plain sense of the word. You use the day. You would rather do forty offices well than twenty slowly, and you get some satisfaction out of the number at the end of it.
PRIDE IN WHO YOU REPRESENT. This firm is built on being right. Our appraiser signs his name personally to every report. Every figure we publish names its source. You will never be asked to say one thing that is not true, and that is not an accident, it is how the firm was built. If that is the kind of place you want your name attached to, apply.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license
- Comfortable walking into a professional office and speaking to the person at the front desk
- Able to keep clear, accurate written records
- Available two weekdays between 9:30 and 4:00
- A great attitude. Every office you walk into forms an impression of our firm in about four seconds, and that impression is you
No experience is required and not having any will not count against you. If you do have experience, all the better. We hire for character first and skills second, because the skills here take about a day to learn and the character does not.
SCHEDULE
Route days are capped at two per week to start. That is deliberate. The follow-up calls are where this job pays, and they need their own time and a clear head. Driving five days a week and never calling anybody earns nothing. Additional route days are assigned as your territory grows.
Daytime hours. No nights. No weekends. You are working [CITY] and the surrounding area, and your territory is built around where you live.
