About the Opportunity
A leading commercial restoration and environmental services contractor is seeking an experienced Division Manager to lead its Environmental Services division in Hayward, CA. This is a rare opportunity to take full ownership of a $10M business unit, overseeing operations, financial performance, business development, and a team of approximately 25 technicians and lead technicians.
We're looking for a leader who combines deep technical expertise in asbestos, lead, and mold abatement with strong business acumen and the ability to build lasting relationships with industrial hygienists, general contractors, and commercial clients. This role offers executive-level visibility, significant autonomy, and the opportunity to grow an already established division.
What You'll Own
- Own the full P&L and operational performance of a $10M Environmental Services division.
- Estimate, bid, and oversee large commercial asbestos, lead, and mold abatement projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with industrial hygienists, general contractors, facility managers, and commercial clients to drive new business.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of approximately 25 technicians and lead technicians while ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee project execution, containment protocols, air monitoring coordination, and environmental compliance.
- Manage a large portfolio of commercial, industrial, healthcare, and higher education projects.
- Maintain the division's reputation through exceptional client service and operational excellence.
Ideal Background
- 7+ years of leadership experience within environmental remediation or asbestos abatement.
- Strong commercial estimating experience with the ability to independently scope and price complex projects.
- Existing relationships with industrial hygienists, general contractors, and commercial clients.
- Proven success leading operations, developing business, and managing P&L performance.
- Deep knowledge of asbestos, lead, mold remediation, containment procedures, and environmental regulations.
- Experience managing commercial, industrial, healthcare, or institutional projects.
- Professional communication skills with executive-level clients and stakeholders.
Required Certifications
- California Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC)
- CSST (Site Surveillance Technician)
- EPA Accredited Asbestos Training
- California Asbestos Supervisor Certification
- Current Worker Certification (Cal/OSHA)
- Current Respirator Medical Clearance & Fit Test
