Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Cashier/Sales Associate to join our team. This position is responsible for delivering excellent customer service, accurately processing transactions, and supporting product sales in a fast-paced retail setting. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and communicates effectively. In addition to hourly pay, team members may earn tips and have the opportunity for a $2–$3 per hour increase based on performance. This role also includes maintaining a clean, organized store and contributing to a calm, respectful, and professional environment for customers and coworkers.
Responsibilities
- Operate the cash register efficiently and accurately, processing customer transactions in a timely manner.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while following proper cash-handling procedures.
- Provide outstanding customer service by welcoming customers, answering questions, and resolving concerns professionally.
- Assist with product recommendations and upselling to improve the customer experience and support sales goals.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor; restock and face products as needed.
- Support merchandising efforts by ensuring displays are neat, attractive, and replenished.
- Conduct basic product demonstrations and communicate promotions or special offers when appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations, especially during busy periods.
- Perform basic calculations to ensure accurate pricing, change, and transaction totals.
Qualifications / Experience
- Previous cashier or retail sales experience is preferred, but not required (training will be provided).
- Vape shop experience is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and reliability with cash-handling procedures.
- Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing and inventory support.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with customers and coworkers.
- Experience with stocking, merchandising, or product demonstrations is a plus.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
