Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills.
- Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and positive behavior management.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of child development to tailor instruction and support individualized learning needs.
- Foster strong communication with parents and guardians through regular updates on children’s progress and classroom activities.
- Lead classroom activities that promote early intervention strategies for children requiring additional support or special education services.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of student progress and incidents.
- Facilitate age-appropriate lessons that incorporate child welfare principles, classroom management techniques, and standards for preschool teaching excellence.
Skills
- Extensive experience working with children in early childhood settings, including preschool or toddler care environments.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, childhood development instruction, and standardized testing practices.
- Proven ability to manage classrooms effectively through behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques.
- Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and inclusive teaching methods.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with parents, colleagues, and community partners about child welfare and educational progress.
- Certification in first aid and CPR; knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to childcare settings.
- Demonstrated experience in lesson planning for preschool-aged children with a focus on literacy education, math skills, physical education, and overall child development.
