Wabash Center is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance & Compliance Specialist to support agency-wide quality improvement, regulatory compliance, safety management, and operational excellence. This role conducts quality assurance reviews, compliance audits, safety inspections, documentation reviews, corrective action follow-up, and program monitoring while coordinating Safety Committee activities, emergency preparedness, fleet maintenance, and performance improvement initiatives. The position plays a key role in protecting individuals served, ensuring regulatory compliance, reducing organizational risk, and maintaining accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct quality assurance reviews, compliance audits, and safety inspections for agency programs.
- Document audit findings and monitor corrective actions through successful resolution.
- Maintain accurate compliance records, reports, and quality documentation.
- Support Safety Committee operations, meeting coordination, documentation, and follow-up.
- Coordinate agency-wide emergency preparedness activities and safety drills.
- Organize preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, and service scheduling for the agency fleet.
- Monitor compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
- Promote health, safety, risk management, and abuse/neglect prevention.
- Assist with continuous quality improvement initiatives and operational support projects.
- Perform additional administrative and compliance-related duties as assigned.

High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–2 years of experience in quality assurance, compliance, auditing, safety, risk management, healthcare administration, or program coordination.
- Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.

Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent documentation, organizational, analytical, and written communication skills.
- Ability to pass required background and abuse/neglect screenings.
Preferred

Associate degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
- Experience in healthcare, human services, or another regulated environment.
- Familiarity with CARF, Medicaid Waiver, Indiana DDRS/BDDS, accreditation standards, compliance monitoring, or willingness to learn.
- CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain.
