Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team at Velvet Room Bk. As a Line Cook/Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and delivering high-quality dishes to our customers. Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices
- Assist in menu planning and recipe development
- Cook and plate dishes according to established recipes and presentation guidelines
- Ensure food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and meets food safety standards
- Monitor food inventory and communicate with the manager regarding ingredient needs
- Maintain a clean and organized work station
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow
- Adhere to all sanitation and safety regulations
Skills:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food handling procedures
- Familiarity with menu planning and recipe development
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent knife skills for chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
