Position Overview
A licensed residential services organization in Seattle Washington is seeking an experienced Executive Director to oversee daily operations, regulatory compliance, staffing, financial administration, and program implementation.
The ideal candidate is an experienced, organized, and accountable leader who can independently manage a regulated residential program and ensure operational and regulatory requirements are completed accurately and on time.
The Executive Director will have primary responsibility for day-to-day operational management while maintaining appropriate communication with ownership regarding significant operational, financial, personnel, licensing, and compliance matters.
Key Responsibilities
Operations
- Oversee daily operations of the residential program.
- Ensure operations comply with applicable state regulations and licensing requirements.
- Establish systems to track responsibilities, deadlines, and compliance requirements.
- Identify operational issues and ensure corrective action is completed.
Licensing & Compliance
- Serve as the primary operational contact with applicable regulatory agencies.
- Maintain ongoing licensing compliance.
- Coordinate licensing reviews, inspections, corrective actions, and regulatory requests.
- Track licensing requirements and ensure timely completion.
- Maintain accurate compliance documentation.
Policies & Procedures
- Implement and maintain the organization's approved Policies & Procedures.
- Ensure employees understand and follow established policies.
- Monitor compliance and address deficiencies.
- Ensure policies are updated when regulatory requirements change.
Staffing & Human Resources
- Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, supervise, and evaluate employees.
- Ensure required background checks and personnel documentation are completed.
- Maintain compliant personnel files.
- Develop staffing schedules that meet program requirements.
- Monitor staffing coverage, attendance, vacancies, and performance.
- Ensure required training and certifications are completed and documented.
Program Oversight
- Ensure services are delivered in accordance with the approved program.
- Oversee required documentation and recordkeeping.
- Ensure incidents and required reports are completed appropriately.
- Monitor program quality and safety.
- Address operational and performance concerns promptly.
Financial & Administrative Management
- Assist with development and management of the operating budget.
- Monitor payroll, expenses, purchasing, and financial performance.
- Communicate significant financial or operational concerns to ownership.
- Maintain effective administrative systems and records.
Leadership
- Maintain professional relationships with regulatory agencies, referral sources, contractors, consultants, and community partners.
- Lead staff meetings and establish clear expectations.
- Promote a professional, accountable organizational culture.
- Ensure organizational responsibilities are followed through to completion.
Required Qualifications
- Meets all applicable Washington State requirements for the position.
- Required experience working with the population served.
- Demonstrated administrative and program-management experience.
- Experience supervising employees and managing operations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to interpret requirements and ensure they are implemented correctly.
- Successful completion of required background checks and screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, social work, business, public administration, or related field.
- Experience managing a licensed residential program.
- Experience with Washington State regulatory or licensing requirements.
- Experience supervising residential staff.
- Experience with compliance, audits, or corrective-action plans.
- Budget and fiscal-management experience.

Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
