Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Cashier/Cook to join our vibrant food service team. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and process transactions efficiently with cash handling expertise.
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and food safety standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish served.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales, utilizing effective sales techniques and product knowledge.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the food preparation area, dining space, and equipment in compliance with health regulations.
- Manage food inventory levels, restock supplies as needed, and assist with bussing tables or cleaning to keep the environment inviting.
- Handle cash register operations smoothly, perform basic math calculations for transactions, and balance cash drawers at shift end.
- Support team members with food handling duties, including serving, food prep, and kitchen assistance during busy periods.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or a quick-service restaurant environment is preferred; familiarity with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude and excellent communication abilities.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math understanding, and accurate order processing.
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures.
- Culinary experience or kitchen background is advantageous; experience working in cafes or grocery stores is beneficial.
